<2019 edit>
A shiny new aesthetic update! Look at all that new real estate. I matched up the years so there's a ten year difference between the two sides. It'll be interesting to see it filled in as it goes along.
I feel a little better this year, but still no art job. I'm hoping 2020 is finally the year of good change.

This year was pretty meh but we can always hope for better.

I'm loose in the wind right now and uncertain about a lot of things, but at least I can say I think my portfolio is now strong enough to catch a foothold somewhere. I still have tons I need to improve on- I want to buckle down on painting/rendering and start to dig into environment concept art.

It's been difficult to draw for myself this year, but drawing for others at least gave me space to concentrate on polished art without having to stress over the usual things. I could focus more on the doing and less on the thinking. To encourage myself to keep making art I want to commit on an art project that will most likely take the form of a comic. I have a handful of ideas (one of which is on hiatus...) but I'm hopeful this project will at least give me a challenge and push me to improve.

Well here's something I've been putting off for years! I swing back and forth whether I'm satisfied with my art or not and it's around the time of the new year I feel sore about it. Although, I'm cheating with this because I'm cherry picking the most appealing art of each year, so I think I'm just digging my own grave at this point XD

If you can't see any improvement in the years 2012-2015, this is point. I talked to a friend about it and she said it probably has to do with my sticking to a single style, which means there's going to be a level of consistency. I'm probably worried over nothing but hopefully I can improve noticeably in 2016.
I had a treasure trove of drawings for earlier than 2008 but have sadly lost them because I drew only on loose paper. It really makes me sad losing any scrap of art, even if it is a decade old XD
I'll keep an eye out for the lost drawings (which sounds like a novel) but the ones I scanned are a few drawings I managed to find.
