Some research sketches I did when looking at historically accurate medieval clothing for my comic, Feud.At first glance accurate clothing can seem much more average or boring than designs that are pimped out for medieval fantasy, but theres some lovely details and fabric cuts I found. Historical fashion doesn't need to be elaborated on quite so much as it usually is in medieval fantasy films etc, I think it's a shame you rarely get to see it ~

Beautiful work! I also had to do some research about medieval clothing and I was amazed by some designs.
Plus it is quite remarkable how much these designs differ from social class to social class.
Some of your sketches look a bit eastern in origin (maybe russian? byzantine?)

Might be a little byzantine in there - My comic is set in northern England 1194, but moves over to the eastern European cities
