Oh WOW!!! I freakin love it. Just fantastic work. (ok, I'm biased, I drew one of these myself, and I loved this version of the story better as well. Yeah, I said it, bring it on!!!! The gene wilder version is great, but I can't stand some of the songs...("Cheer up Charlie" just pokes at my last nerve.)

I liked this Willy better too, could have been because the old charlie really got on my nevers, but I loved grandpa joe. and sure, Gene was nice and evil, but the fact that they were doing it to make the story more true to the book and using Roalds wife as an advisor... that gets my vote anyday (and my turn to be biased... its johnny!)

Totally agree. I think this version, especially with Tim Burton and how his mind works....it really did look like the pictures I had in my head when I first read the story. (Plus, gene was nice and evil....But I thought Johnny just nailed it.)
Then again, have you ever seen a movie he was in where you walked out of the theater and said,..." I just didn't like that movie??" ( I know I haven't)
