The city of Dusseldorf in the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. Before this trip I didn't like Germany, even the German language did I find ugly, but in 3 days I completely changed my mind and now I can say that I love Germany and that I speak the German language with great pleasure!!

Hahaha, it does not surprise me that you thought German was ugly! XD It's a very harsh language, especially in sound. Yet in some cases it can sound beautiful, like in poetry ^^ But yes, I can somewhat attest to this, hehehe.

It's true it is harsh, that's why I didn't like it for years... but the way people spoke in Düsseldorf and in Northern Germany in general caused me to change my mind about German^^ For the first time, I found out German could eventually sound like a human language xD I like it when it is spoken in everyday conversations, the way people teach it is very different xD

I agree! There's nothing like immersing yourself in the language in its native country, to make you see just how really different it is. You get to see more of a context and can appreciate it more.

You understand the country and you become fluent in its language in the same time!! What else? XD
