Timah Al-Khan was born in Detroit Deluxe sometime in the early 2050's, her parents having been the earliest people to follow Kane up to above the dome and the first people to live in Deluxe. Timah challenged others from a young age, from refusing to be "lady like" to her questioning of Kane's methods. As a teenager, her parents attempted to have her "re-programmed" due to frustration with her rebellious nature; Timah would become quiet and resentful, but her parents believed the reprogramming worked. At some point in her early adulthood, Timah met and fell in love with a man named Chris Chilton. The two got married, and Timah gave birth to Chris's daughter soon after, and eventually gave birth to their son.

Due to erroneously believing she'd been cured of her rebellious ways, Timah was assigned the job of librarian, whom Kane believed would naturally be peaceful and ladylike. Timah's role was to destroy the unwanted materials brought up from Motorcity to be replaced with the Kane-approved texts. Timah's passion for resistance was re-ignited by exploring the history of old Detroit. She would begin going down to Motorcity in secret, eventually meeting the man who led the resistance against Kane, Jacob, whom she later discovered was her father-in-law. Timah would plan and assist Jacob in anyway she could, even going so far as to plan out a revolt in Deluxe with her husband. Unfortunately, Kane would catch wind of this plan, and Chris and Timah were murdered in a Motorcity-Deluxe simulcasted execution, the two both shot in the head point blank to make an example of them.
