that's what happens to me when I go to the doctor... "just a check up" they say....
then it's almost time for me to leave and suddenly they're saying "OH you haven't gotten your flu shot, or your meningitis shot, or your HPV shot...."

Docs didn't want to give mine because my "immune response was so positive that they didn't want to ruin my existing defenses" or something... The most frustrating in that is, I was the only kid who genuinely loved receiving my shots!
...Then, my first blood test happened and I'm now scared of medical needles for the rest of my life.

I rarely get shots since I just forget to go get them but I've had my blood taken like a billion times now and I've always just been fascinated by it. I had two dialysis done once and when I was actually awake I thought it was the coolest thing.
Actually my dentist always compliments me on how calm I am... which makes me wonder what is going on with his other patients, given that most of the other people I see in there are older folks... I dunno man I just never got that kind of fear. In a way I kind of find it calming just laying there and not really having to say anything. idk dude i'm a sucker for medical things and also probably a masochist so idk.

As long as they allow me to have a little MP3 player in my ears, I am one of the most docile patients at the dentist. Truth is, the only thing that "scares" me (and even there, it's just a mild discomfort) is the loud buzzing noises. They can drill into my teeth and I don't give a
