Commission for of her character Forav! Sorry for the wait!He owns a tailor/sewing shop! I fidgeted so much with the lighting on this and i still dont know if it looks ok xD My art always tends to look too dark on my screen ><

some details I really like and pay attention to is the way you made the light from the window glow, its very realistic especially the dust effect when you see little particles floating in the light~ and the blurry cash register and everything<3

Very nice. I'm curious to know how you do your method for this. I keep imagining you'd do the line art and base color first, then start shading and toning, then actually color and/or erase the line art layer as you progress? Looking at it, I think the character had line work, but the background was painted. I could be dead wrong.

Thanks! The character was lined out (and done with the process you described x'D) but the background was all painted without lines. I usually try to avoid lines on the background because i often have to rearrange the background a lot to make the composition work, and it helps not having so many layers haha. I kinda switch back and forth when im painting both subjects (the bg and character) till i get it to look right :'D

Thanks again! xD I usually like to just paint the background freely so that it wont distract from the main focus (which is the character). I do try lining out some of my bgs sometimes, specially if a lot of perspective is involved oi.
Ah i dont think i really used Sketchbook pro. Well, i think i did once on a tablet but ahaha im not really good at drawing with those things. ^^'
