For Fanart Fridays I was asked to choose my favorite Naruto character! Mine is actually Rock Lee lol, but since I’ve already drawn him before, Kiba + Akamaru are a close second! (plus I’ve never drawn them haha)
I always loved the bond between these two! xD They’re also my fav cause well, I’m an animal lover if that wasnt already obvious xD
I consider this one a bit of a doodle cause I was pressed for time, so I had to rush (this week went by so fast! D: ) Glad I finally got to draw him though!

On the ‘less annoying version of Naruto’ comment; how much is to do with him being actually less annoying and how much to do with him having less screen time? Even if he had equal screen time he’d probably still be less annoying than Naruto, but would he be as less annoying as is? 🤔. Also might depend on whether you’re basing that on the anime or the manga, and if the former which language you watch it in (can’t speak for the original Japanese or any other language, but in the English dub Naruto’s voice can be a touch abrasive to listen to sometimes while Kiba’s isn’t).

I actually grew up watching the English dub so Naruto's voice always got to me haha. xD Kiba did have that hot-headedness that Naruto had (which is a trait I still liked) but his voice was a lot more tolerable. (honestly a characters voice can really skew my opinions on them if i cant stand their voice haha)
(lol maybe i should take that comment out, might offend some Naruto fans (fan of the character at least heh xD))

And agreed, the voice can make or break a character. It can also be weird when the voice evolves over time (and not because in-universe the character has aged or undergone a change over time or whatever) so when you go back to old episodes everything sounds weird (doubly so if you come into a series halfway through rather than at the beginning). Same goes if the actor changes and the new guy can’t quite replicate the old guy’s.
