OH MY GOD I finally managed to make a good temp workspace for myself during my move. x_x I've been depraved from my tablet for about a week now and I was experiencing withdrawl sympthoms lol. My internet still kinda sucks tho :'PANYWAYS! I decided to update the art of this old character of mine! I dont know how many people remember him (I doubt theres anyone lol) but I was taken back by one fan's dedication to him (*cough* avrillfan29 *cough*), and not to mention that hes always been one of my favs, so I wanted to start drawing this boy again. :'D
But yeah he's Prince Lexi! This is his brother: (not blood related of course) And they normally go together as a pair.

- He believes he is a bird trapped in a human's body and will get offended if you call him a human.
- Follows a strict avian diet, consisting of nuts, berries, seeds, insects, rodents ect. (thats probably why hes so skinny).
- Gets his sick kicks from torturing prisoners of his kingdom.
- Elegant, but sadisic/creepy sums him up pretty well.
- Most likely thinks hes better than you.

I remember seeing this guy before, him and the other prince are two of my favorite characters of yours; just because I've always found sovereign characters interesting, as they are often involved in political intrigue and their lives revolve around the governing of an entire nation, for good or ill depending on the quality of their decisions (can make for an interesting exploration of those topics).
More specifically, I love the uniform, especially the shoulder pads, I kinda like how his outfit contrasts with his brothers, red against blue, puffy shoulders vs puffy pants, etc.
I also had a funny thought in looking at this that his pony tail and scarf probably compete to see which one can flutter in the breeze more dramatically in a windy day.
Also fantastic color with great shading, nicely sharp lines and detail, and interesting design. Great job as always Seyumei.

Yeah I dig the royal blue/gold combo a lot.^^ Haha, about that, his original design actually had two loose ends on his scarf, but I felt like that was a bit too much so I just gave him one this time. But yeah he likes flowy extensions on himself, probably cause it reminds him of winds/flying lol.

Of course, definitely, I think characters like that can be good because they start off almost like a blank slate and then become developed over various decisions and scenarios over time rather than "off screen", helps the audience relate that way, as they kinda learn along with the viewer.
Yeah I think it makes sense considering the characters background and the fact that he considers himself bird-like; definitely though the way the design contrasts with the other character and also has a lot of light weight/flowy extensions show you put a lot of thought into it.

And yeah, Arian is a lot more "grounded" id say xD though I mainly just wanted to do a red/blue contrast between their outfits xD

Well with Arian you can kinda tell based on facial expressions that he's the more "serious" character, but yeah the contrast is an interesting visual touch and makes these two interesting to look at whenever they are in the same scene.
