Their shape is wrong. Eyes don't really look like that. Overall, the whole portrait doesn't look realistic much. It's good, but not really realistic.
You should first try drawing realisticly before painting realisticly.
And what reference did you use? May I see it?

I used lots of other refs that matched the view of the face that I have here. Then I added in some of my own cartoony touches, but this was the first ref that I used for the initial sketch.
