Description This archive features a vault mechanism that can be used by DMs as skill challenges, riddles and much more.

Inside you will find a legend that will help your players translate the writing in the middle of the circle. Their answer to the riddle will trigger the mechanism opening it, summoning guardians, or triggering a trap. The text in the middle translates to "Men act for three reasons". Ask your players to arrange the symbols so they spell out 3 reasons why a man would act for. Each success bringing them closer to their much desired treasure. Each failure bringing them closer to peril.

Set up your map to at least 25x25, scale the background image to 20x20 squares. Make sure that the layers are rotatable.
Each ring is already cut and scaled to 70px per square.
A tip for implementing in roll20:
Set up each ring as a token and bind it to a different player. That will encourage cooperation and will cut down on confusion.
Holding down the "Alt" key allows you to rotate the token at odd angles, needed to solve the puzzle.

Guh... this has a nasty Assassin's Creed vibe to it. Can I ask a dickish British guy for help?

You can ask a dickish Bulgarian guy for any help you need implementing this thing.

As for Assassin's Creed, never played it. Lara Croft was my thing until it became dumb.

The Ezio trilogy had a lot of annoying puzzles involving ancient symbols and puzzle wheels. If it took too long a hint button would come up and Shawn would speak up giving you his whole "I'm smarter than you" thing. Thing is his hints usually didn't help. Thankfully these puzzle were almost always optional.
