It's strange to read these comments over whether Mrs. Possible could have a waist that small. She's drawn wearing a corset and the purpose of a corset was to cinch in the waist to an impossible degree to create an "hourglass" figure. The use of corsets is also why 19th century women were always fainting. With their intestines pushed up into their chest it was hard to breathe.
