Ah, christmas...Everyone is so happy and giving. Love is in the air...
Please don't mind me spoiling the Christmas spirit, but I really believe this is the perfect time of the year to think about others more than ourselves.
My latest art pack, AlternHATE, has been created with this specific idea on mind. Please take the time to see the works in full view and THINK before you decide to comment. All of the pieces showcased on this pack require a good amount of reviewing time so please do not say anything if you're not able to understand it.
Note: Works from this pack will be released randomly through the month of December and probably January. Although not registered, they're all protected by international copyright laws.

Great piece of work
just a couple of comments. I took some time to read all the comments and what everyone thought was. I noticed that a couple of people said that the buld that is turned on (alive) is before the one that is out (dead). So in your work you've clearly killed the person with the idea.
All us artists want to do is create a discussion about a piece of work that is outrageous and you've done just that.
I take my hat off to you for doing that. No only you've killed someone for having an idea but you have created a piece of work that allows you to do so. I must say that a new era of propaganda has arrived.

Hehehe. Mas agora estou curioso para ver o filme mesmo só por causa disso... E porque mal entras no site do filme levas com grande frase: "People should not be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people".

okay here's my interpretation. im sure ull take time to read and understand what i have to say. I read once that art saves the life of its maker. dont know how true that is.. the grey bulb represents physical existence. for example, a man. the other one with the man inside represents how an idea (intellectual existence) in some fascinating way protects its innovator (or perhaps the mind of the innovator). Getting deeper, the creative thought is the source of light which sparks possibilities (the man being the filament). Many interpretations can be drawn of this perhaps, but this is what I perceive. this is a very conceptual piece and for that, it goes in my favorites.
P.S. I notice the bottom part of the grey bulb doesn't have the 'glare' as does the bulb with the man inside it. I wonder what that is about.

Nice deviation - I love the artwork and the way you used this quote.
It's such a truthful sentence - and when you look around, it just seems like no one remembers it oO.
Anyway, it's funny some people should mention the hypothesis that an idea can be killed if you kill the man that has the idea before he discusses it with others - for me, the meaning of the sentence is that even if you were to kill a man before he could spread his ideas, another one would still come up with the same idea later. Like in revolutions and movements of that kind. ( *lost* oO )
Ne, I suppose everybody interprets it differently.

No, you wouldn't. If you're against one man's ideas, you cannot extinguish his idea by killing the man himself. The only part of you that stays on this earth when you die are your thoughts.

esta tua submissão deve ter-me escapado...
gosto da representação "pictórica" da frase. acho que está bem assim, só a duas cores e com esta simplicidade.
por outro lado também acho que esta representação está um pouco inócua demais, a frase tem um significado forte mas talvez a imagem não exprima completamente todo esse significado...
se este trabalho fosse meu talvez tivesse pintado o "homem" de vermelho escuro. ou então a lâmpada da direita... talvez assim a imagem tivesse uma carga mais emotiva em vez de ser tão asséptica.
outra coisa que podias melhorar é a simetria do "homem" - a cabeça está um pouco desviada para a esquerda e os braços também não são exactamente iguais. já estou a ser um bocado picuinhas mas tu pediste "advanced critique".

De facto, apercebo-me agora de que os braços não estão lá muito simétricos. Falha minha. Quanto á cabeça, no entanto, não vejo qualquer problema. Parece-me perfeitamente centrada.
Quanto a destacar qualquer elemento através da cor: penso que desviar a atenção para qualquer dos elementos deste trabalho acabaria por o estragar. Foi propositadamente que fiz deste um trabalho uniforme.
Vou ter em conta os teus comentários para projectos futuros.

but the quote is wrong in a way
bacause if u kill a man then the idea dies whit him and is no more.
if he have not told any one o created the "idea" yet
so u see u can kill it to but ju cant take it away from someone
if the man whit the "idea" is dead the there is no "idea"

Actually, I've had someone tell me that before. Obviously, when reading this quote you should consider an idea as a thought that has been shared with someone else. If he/she hasn't told anyone, then it's just a thought. Then again, the quote isn't mind (you might notice I mentioned the author). If you have any comments on the graphic representation of the quote, which is my own work, I'd be happy to hear them.
