I can't believe how long I've been using Photoshop in some form or another and I still keep finding new stuff in it. @_@ I just learned how to make animated emoticons (in the most basic form).
I think I just need to lock myself in a room with a PS tutorial for 24 hours or something.

I don't think you have to lock your self with tuts
All you need, is your tool to use, your imagination, basic knowledge, and the WILL! ... you'll learn all you need, even become a master.

I'd agree and disagree - I've mastered some programs and machinery just by playing around with them.
Adobe products seem different though - I spent maybe 90 minutes a couple weeks ago trying to use various combinations of posterize/threshold/selective color/replace color/stamp/curves/etc. to get either a vector-like or printmaking -like image from a mediocre photo I took (without using Cutout).
But then, a few days ago, I found the Live Paint tool in Illustrator and it did all that work in about 5 minutes of adjusting ([result] , if you care).
So I think I need tutorials sometimes so I don't bang my head for too long if there's a better tool.

Heh, You might be right, but those 90mins you spend using these tools, makes you get used on these tools, i mean you know where they are, you know all the options now, and you know what each tool can do, the tutorials just showing you how work can be done in easy way, while leave the other tools behind.
If you watch tutorial to learn a technique that's fine, and of you really want to get used from a tutorial learn how to use the tools in more than what you see in the tut it self, develop the idea you're looking at, think outside the box.
Maybe you'll take long time to learn at the begin but you'll work fast at the end, trust me, i've been through this.

Thanks for the encouragement, but I've been through this too - and I already knew how to use those tools! (That's like saying to an experienced painter: "now you know how to use a brush! and where to find cadmium red!")

Lol, I've been through this too, Now I believe i'm 10x faster than ever, And maybe if something new on me, i take 5hours to do, but the next time, i might take only one hour

Well, it's never to early to start trying. Try sending in a couple of your works to a local museum. Or to the library. let them have them free. If a publisher or critic sees them and likes them, they call you, you get a contract, you becomes a great artist/poet. of course poems you might want to either put on a poem website or send to the board of education in your area. they tend to circulate it better.
