Well I never thought I'd see the day that My Little Pony fanart would enter me gallery, he he he. If someone had told me a couple of years ago that My Little Pony would make a big comeback and that is would be one of the most popular things across the internet, I would not have believed them.This is for my good friend, who kindly commissioned me. ^^ She asked me to draw her favourite pony from MLP Friendship is Magic, Applejack. I don't really know too much about the show, but from the bits and pieces I have seen, it looks like a refreshing approach to the old cartoon I remember from the 80s'. I actually had a lot of fun drawing Applejack, never having drawn a MLP before.

The shading of the dirt, the coloring of the mane and eyes looks lovely and that pile of apples....looks tasty!

I've gotta say, when my friend first showed me MLP FIM, I was a bit skeptical of it ^^ It's grown on me though! I'm not obsessed, but I think it's a cute little show :3

I've watched the first 5 episodes and it is a cute and funny show. I could probably continue watching it, but I think it would be more of casual thing. Although, I suppose that could change if I went further and found something to get me hooked on it.

He he he, well, I guess I can understand it from your friend's point of view, too. I know that whenever I get one of my friends into something of mine, I get excited and am always trying to encourage them to watch/play more.

A lovely character in an excitable situation is always great, but put a story behind it and it's a million times better. Though she puts a smile on it, an embarrassed one perhaps, I'm guessing that Applejack somehow caused that appleanche herself and skidded into the muddy garden. Whomever she's looking at is probably a bit annoyed at the seedlings she's buried, but at least she stopped the mountain of apples from ruining a whole lot more.
AJ's action pose is terrific, with her hooves shoved forward and bunching up the mud that finally stopped her. The pretty pony's expression looks like a very short-lived bit of relief before realizing she has to answer for this. Besides the beautifully bright older filly herself, you did a lovely job on the bright red apples and nice work on the trees. Even the seedlings in the mud look good, and they add some important context.
And after she rights those plants she'll have a long afternoon of picking up apples.

I would usually write a story, but at the time I posted it, I was exhausted and just off to bed. Although, it looks like I didn't need to put a story behind this, because you thought up a pretty good one yourself.

You just described 90% of the adult fanbase for this show. All you need is an "...and I'd become a die-hard fan as well" to get 100%.
