Oh wow the white hermit's daughter was so beautiful, we didn't really see the face all that well on the elf on the altar before... now we know... ouch... I still feel bad for young Lo'Kee having been forced to do it...

Very hard to look at this picture knowing what happened to this beautiful girl.
Well, I remember what Hastur said about the way to the hermit's house! And Hastur lived in the vicinity. Sarinee dared to go across those swamps alone and in the armor. What means: she was tough, brave... and careless! She could disappear forever well before she went to the underworld.

I didn't think of that, in your pic, she may well be thought of as experimenting! She may well expand her horizons because of the information she has learned, much of which might not be about just magic?

I know that she is just sitting down, but it does seem like an action pic in a way!

Here was a story that needed to be told! I don't know why I didn't think of it! We get to see the White Hermit look happy for a rare change! The expression looks almost awkward on him! He seems affectionate but nervous all at once!
We also have the question of why he left a secluded kingdom to eventually live in a secluded island in a swamp! There are clues, some are quite obvious. He is a foreign elf--a high elf to be sure--but a foreigner all the same living in the kingdom of Rohnion. I would speculate that it was an insular, arrogant society, much like the Grey elves from D&D. Belad probably couldn't meet public expectations? I will have to check his story in the timeline to see, it suggests that--for once--he didn't leave because his craft was seen as unorthodox? It suggests that plate armor is coming into a vogue--and amongst the Rohnion elves who I would normally imagine might be the last ones to get it? For that matter, some of it is plate, some of it looks like it might be laminated cloth armor?
It is all very poignant, as he had reestablished a rapport with his Sarinee. I don't know if she had a name before this, but we have now seen that she is someone that we have glimpsed before. At least she now has a face and a voice that we can know beyond a hapless body awaiting sacrifice. Sarinee looks like a decent adventurer--but "journeys to the centre of the world" are fraught with peril! They didn't get beyond Negeemiliel--unless they got nailed on the way back! Probably not though.
We get to see the outside of Belad Bonceduil's house! That incredible window was part of the original design, clearly Belad is a skilled artisan in many, many ways! He ought to make a good living regardless of where he lived, but chooses to live isolated? One wonders, if perhaps he acted with rage and insanity doing something that he has regretted ever since to explain his penance? But, having looked at his story on a timeline once, he has repeatedly ran afoul of elven doctrines; he may have given up on societies in disgust.
He could have been a great leader amongst the wild elves of Al'Jathis--but chose not to. Were they too simple for him? He refused to give a sword to Hastur once--perhaps reasoning (correctly!) that it would have been akin to putting a gun in the hands of a careless, angry young punk. Yet he must sell his wares somewhere--and we know that he can barter and play up the role of merchant very well. If nothing else, he was a soldier once in extreme warfare, he knows what horrors weapons and hate can inflict. Making weapons and armor is his passion, but not one that he particularly enjoys?

In the continent of Zarhuy, dwarves and High Elves are ahead in matter of armor:
The local humans, aside from the Baziks of the north, almost don't use armors... the beast people: none.
And the kanov, orcs and wild, sand, Im'salanos and desert rider elves use lighter armors, like mails...
so is pretty new for Zarhuy, but not so in Aels and Ushaenor in this time :3
Also: an elf had a long live, to dedicate himself to craft beatiful things! X3
He sells mostly to Blazakhovian trade outposts, selling and adquiring equipment and supplies. :3

Oh yes, it worsen when you go lower...
in FR, schoalrs separated the Underdark in thre regions geographicaly - the lower degree is... dark, much less known, even drow and pals dont get there much...
Perfect for undying ones to remain there, quiet. Also, elementals... and compared to Eberron, Cthulhu grade monsters-demons instead in Khyber (eberron's version of the underworld)

It's perhaps worse in Ebberon in a way, because its not even natural - its like a pocket dimension or such when you go deep enough, like a darker version of the older tales of 'hell center of the earth'.
There is cryptic notes to the 'Lords of Khyber', and insane cults to them... or so I remember.
