Silly dwarves, they forgot about bulletproof glass on their drive-in.

either orcs evolve very quickly.....
....or from then on they started to have a lot of half-orcs rise to leadership and then "spread their seed"
great detail on the orcs bodies

These orcs look much more like "big goblins", those ears are especially large and pointy.Β Their legs short, their arms really long!Β Despite their oversized upper body, they have a certain lean look to them.Β Future orcs seem to be more heavily built in some ways?
Proto-orcs?Β The term, and the somewhat unusual body type of this tribe makes me wonder if some significant genomic change is in store for the orcs?Β The thickly bodied ones largely win out?Β The various orc races haven't branched out yet?
In a way, I'm almost as interested in the dwarves.Β Given how conservative that they can be, one wonders how they avoided being cavemen forever, and instead were at the forefront of technological development?
I suppose one could also ask why the conservative ancient Egyptians were near the forefront of civilization?
One thing that defines dwarves is their focus on their communities.Β If the dwarvesΒ could establish stable communities of a certain size, technological innovations might start to happen.Β Dwarves have a propensity NOT to move overly much, but remain near stable resources.Β It might make sense that they would discover copper and other metals precisely by remaining near caves and learning of manipulating metals because they had a large enough community base to allow such experimentation?

Well: that's why they are "proto-orcs" or "early orcs", rather than modern kinds of orcs: Back then, many orcs where much more goblin-like!
Indeed, the various orc races hadn't branched out by them -thought there was already some separation of orcs regarding skin-colour of their tribes-
That's in part evolution, but mostly, mixing with other breeds of goblinoids -and non-goblinoids!-
Interesting ideas regarding the dwarves! But it seems, the dwarves weren't originally as conservative, but slowly -due defensive purposes, among others- they began to become more conservative.
