Because I needed an ID for 2014!
Now showing my latest addition to my collection of helmets -along with a "tommy" and "Adrian" helmet repiclas-: a pickelhaube of the Chilean Army!

On other note: Ouch. Today I had a bicycle accident, and I have one hand completely swollen, so no drawing in the moment until I see how that developes D:>

Bueno, en parte, sí. Tomando en cuenta que la mayor parte del peso la lleva el penacho y la tulipa. Sin embargo, yo sigo sintiendo que mi casco de combate, un BlackHawk ACH 2000 es más ligero (no ocurre lo mismo con el modelo PASGT) cuando lo tomo en comparación a un Pickelhaube con penacho y tulipa ... y bueno, mucho más cómodo. Es decir, he estado días con él puesto y ni ganas de quitármelo he tenido, sin embargo, el Pickelhaube, después de unas dos horas de formación se vuelve desesperantemente incómodo xD.

bueno, precisamente al ser el centro de gravedad más alto, más incomodo!
Por eso mismo, el penacho era para desfile en los prusianos del siglo XIX e inicios del 20, mientras que sólo ocupaban la punta en campaña!

Eso sí, a pesar de que el casco sigue sin ser cómodo, al menos con punta es bastante más agradable, debido al menor peso y, como dices, a que el centro de gravedad está más bajo.
En fin, es un agrado saber que hay gente fuera de los uniformados, que son apasionados por estas cosas, he visto otros dibujos tuyos inspirados en la doctrina prusiana; muy bonitos, tanto por la habilidad que posees, como por lo que representan.

Tis is a really cool looking picture of yourself! You look pretty cool here, and friendly too, petting the cute dog. The faded and streaked pic is meant to be reminiscent of the early film style cameras?
Too bad about the accident, hope that the hand heals well. Did the accident happen before or after the pic? The bench and dog sort of give the impression that it was shot in the veterinary clinic?
