Ich weiß noch genau wie Ende 2012 mein letztes, innig geliebtes Meerschweinchen nach neun Jahren gestorben ist. Ich hatte es während seiner letzten Stunden auf dem Schoß und dabei geheult wie nie zuvor in meinem Leben.u___u
Für mich waren meine Quiker immer mehr als nur Haustiere, sie waren Familienmitglieder. Und es tut verdammt weh, so jemanden zu verlieren. Was mir damals geholfen hat war der Gedanke, dass sie danach wenigstens nicht mehr leiden müssen und das ich sie vielleicht irgendwann wiedersehe. Wer weiß schon, ob es nicht doch eine Existenz nach dem Tod gibt und wie sie aussieht? Vielleicht bedauert dich dein Kater ja gerade, dass du noch so viele Jahre auf der Erde verbringen musst, während er schon fröhlig durchs Paradies toben kann.

So sorry for your loss. As someone who has to put down fuzzy loved ones it's so difficult and it hurts worse than anything else. But find solace that you are taking him away from the pain. He will drift off to sleep in your arms and will know love and comfort as he passes on. It's so hard to see it that way at first, but as time goes on, you'll feel good about this choice rather than letting him suffer.
Again, so sorry for your loss. May Lucky rest in peace and may he be waiting at the end of the Rainbow Bridge at the end of your time here on earth.

My 13-yr old baby didn't even make it to the euthanasia IV. I think I died a little bit that night too.  I feel you bro.

There are some friends you don't know me but I've been in almost the exact same situation my cat Spooky died in her sleep after 18 years when I was 18 I had her all my life TT^TT I grew up with her and she was my world and its devastating I still can't cope well with the loss 4 years later I still cry for her and miss her and don't know if any other cat will be the same TT^TT 
I miss my baby too
