Him messing with the mark on his neck reminded me of an experiment caretakers would do to test animal self awareness. Experimenters would draw an 'x' on the animals forehead and put it in a room with a mirror. If the animal saw its reflection and rubbed its head, it was self aware as opposed to treating its reflection as a separate being. Dolphins 'technically' failed only because they were too busy making faces to amuse themselves at the mirror, but Zaza passed. xD
