BACKSTORY
Asiras was an humble elf born in the lowest class of the Pure Elves: the excluded division of the race. His parents used to make cheap performances using crows because the high class had forbid the lower one from interacting with other creatures. Ever since, young Asiras had been fond of those majestic creatures and adopted one of his own after finding it terribly injured in hands of the high class and named her Lyuba. Ever since, she became really important to him.
As he grew up, a mysterious illness invaded the low class, taking the lives of his parents, too. With a profound rage and with no home left, he made a forbidden voyage to the lands of the high class in hopes of finding a better life.
As he slipped through the gardens of the royal elves, he met the rebellious princess Mercia, a stunning young lady who was found of roses and her mother´s santoor. In a short period of time she revealed the truth about her father -who she despised- ; he had created the illness to eliminate the filthy low class. Between threats and a rough life, she was forced to succeed him.
Asiras promised to take her away from the cruel destiny that her father had written for her, and gifting him the Santoor as a sign of trust, he followed his parents´ idea and played around the high class as Asiras, the Benevolent Injurer because he planned to take revenge on the king with the fakest of smiles, or as he said, ´faker than the king´s wig´.
As Mercia and Asiras fell in love, her father found out about the forbidden interaction of his daughter with a low class elf.
He expelled him from the high class and threatened his daughter from seeing him again. Instead, Asiras would send Lyuba to send and receive letters.
As one night she didn't come back, Asiras hurried to the high class only to be received by the unfortunate and macabre scene of Lyuba beheaded and the princess´death in hands of the king.
His raging fury lead him back into an old story of a vampire who once resided in the neighbor land of the Pure Blood Vampires to steal a talisman influenced by mysterious magic from the vampire´s past lover.
In exchange of the talisman´s power, Asiras submitted himself to have his painful memories be taken away, and that was, in a physical form, his eyes. With this sacrifice the talisman fed form Mercia´s soul (since her death was a painful memory) and Asiras rejected getting rid of her soul. Instead, the fee to pay costed his parents´memories for her soul to be bounded to the santoor, who would now be with him for eternity.
Asiras headed back to the high class to annihilate the whole high class (because they had paid fake tributes to the princess´ death).
Playing a macabre melody in company of Mercia´s angelic voice, they hypnotized the elves. So the talisman stole the souls of the elves and infused them into the screaming voodoo dolls who begged for forgiveness and their past lives. Nevertheless, no one listened to their suffering but a humble elf with nothing but an ancient and dying santoor called Sarias, the Baleful Healer.
