Close, the conceptual design was based off of the gentle men from the episode hush, yes. For Malitia I took the main gentleman, added Kain from Poltergiest II: The Other side, and removed the eyes. I believed that it gave the right effect.

I can see your point my dear, the middle one seems to be enraged and feeding off of rage. while the other induces fear.

This reminds me of the Gentlemen from the episode Hush on Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. Nice work.

I had the idea but I have had troubles with smiles especially with the factor of age on a person. So while scouting for drawing aids, I came upon Buffy's episode Hush, and then though if I added Kain from Poltergeist II: The other side, and made the eye sockets hollow, chop off the very top of the head and have miasma billowing out, that it would be perfect. I will admit I was pleased with the end result, and as for the middle one, well I wanted something much more rugged, darker still studying the smiles fro the Gentlemen alone, but I went with some less human and a bit more demonic. The idea for the priest outfit hit me half way through the working of the final draft of the piece. What better way to inspire fear, than a demonic priest smiling with a mouth full of sharp teeth, no eyes, and the top of his head missing? The last to the left, I wanted to instill despair and sadness yet keep the dark nightmare aspect to him, which was not easy, while making him smile. I studied several creatures from lore, and media and found one that suit, but again, removing the eyes all together, taking off the top of his head, and making him smile, The monks robe seemed to fit due to the fact that the old monks were yes, always kind, but always seemed sad, as though they mourned their religion and their lives.

Definitely an awesome job with all three. Thought maybe you had been inspired by the Gentlemen. Haven't seen that show in awhile even though I own the set. But, that is one episode that will probably stick with me for life. Again great job.

yeah I was kind of inspired for the creatures, I had been planing the concept for a long time, years in fact, but never had the time to think them through, and then in a state of meditation I viewed my own nightmare men, and though about how to bring them out, smiling evil creatures that they were, and then I thought the best way to help me depict them was media, The Gentlemen just worked out to fucking well lol. Thank you again never the less man.
