Two members of the Fallschirmjager enjoying a well deserved smoke break after ferocious close combat in Italy.ΒThey could be members of Fallschirmjager Regiment 6 but it is hard to determine.
This image does not belong to me in anyway.
I am just posting it here to express my interest and share it with others who may share my interest.

Possibly netting they acquired from British or commonwealth helmets, netting is always good to have!

When I was younger I thought their helmet netting was there so they could go fishing if they didn't have any fishing poles. Β *hides face in shame* Although that was way back when I was 7. Β I think I'm a tad smarter now.....
