Description Ashfur has to be probably one of the worst villains out there.

Just because he got rejected by someone - who was polite to him by the way, doesn't mean he can go bat-shit insane and start murdering innocent cats who had nothing to do with his quarrel between him and Squirrelflight.

First of all, Squirrelflight and Ashfur were never even together in the first place. They weren't even dating! Ashfur just assumed that and completely overreacted when Squirrelflight wanted to be happy with Bramblestar.

Is it so very wrong to follow your heart? It does seem wrong to Ashfur, since he tried to burn the Three into Kentucky fried chickens, one of them, who I might mention, is a blind medicine cat.

It doesn't matter if he was in 'pain'. Or, more like throwing a tantrum. Because let's face it, Ashfur was being a huge drama queen here. Ashfur's tantrum caused not only Squirrelflight pain, but everyone else, too. He made Firestar lose a life - basically murdering him, threatened to tell the secret at the Gathering to ruin Squirrelflight's life. He even went as far as saying she should be exiled!

And apparently he and Bramblestar were once best friends.

I don't know what the heck Ashfur did to deserve StarClan. Sure, he may have found his way there, but Bluestar should have kicked him out right away, because he certainly didn't deserve it. And how do we know he felt remorse for what he did? How do we even know he felt satisfied for what he did? We're all just assuming here. We don't know, and never will, until we will get Ashfur's point of view in an ebook.

I want to see the pain in Ashfur's eyes. I don't want to read something we already know about or pretty much predicted that would happen. Ashfur's Pain would be a very good and interesting ebook to read. I even suggested this ebook to Vicky saying she should write about how he felt about Squirrelflight and gave her the title, "Ashfur's Pain". She said she'll think about it It'll make me happy if she actually uses my idea.

Anyways, as you can see, I quite despise Ashfur. Just because someone politely says she wants to only be his friend and nothing more doesn't mean he should go insane and start murdering innocent cats. Ashfur's a bad and selfish cat who only cared about his own happiness. Isn't friendship enough? Get over your tantrum, Ashfur. You're not the first cat who got friend zoned. If anyone's heart is broken, it's Squirrelflight's, not Ashfur's.

<_< Well let me tell you something. Clearly you've never actually been shoved into that wretched 'friend-zone.' I personally fell in love with a boy, and for over two years, pined after him. He took me, and for a few months, it was okay. Until his eyes wandered, and he took someone else. Seven months later, and they're still a happy couple. I, am in the friend zone.

//spoiler warning.

There is something maddening about being there. Because you get so sickly jealous that every single one of their actions makes you mad. Maybe Ashfur was wrong in what he did, but honestly? I can't say I've never done / thought about taking similar actions. I've tried to cause pain to them both, as Ashfur did. And while I haven't killed anyone, I've definitely wondered what would happen if I did.

I see a bit of myself in this nut. And Ashfur is one of my favorite characters. Along with Jayfeather, Crowfeather, Swiftpaw and Barley. Honestly, maybe he was wrong, but it was more than a tantrum. She left and broke his heart, and went on to mate with and have kits with Bramblestar. { i know they were Leafpools, but they did have kits later.} I can't tell you how badly that would hurt me. There is no such thing as 'moving on'. If you truly love someone, you're always going to love them. And see, Ashfur had to see this every day. He had to watch them be in love. He had to watch them raise kits. And then he had to train one.

Can you fathom? I can't.

It'd be one thing if he didn't have to see her after, but, he did. Every day. Every night.

"His only fault was loving her too much."

Right?

To call him the 'worst villain', is wrong and you know it. Tigerstar, and Brokenstar, perhaps?

The point is, Squirrelflight was never rude to him or even dating. All she said was she cared about him as a friend, and wanted nothing more than that. Ashfur just assumed that they were mates when that isn't true. She also never used him, either. She offered him friendship. But Ashfur didn't want it. He just wanted something more.

I'd rather not bring real life into this situation, though. I've never been into that situation, and while I do understand him in a way, doesn't mean I have to like him.

She didn't leave him though, that's the point. I even have a rant that proves that she never left him. He was selfish and wanted more than just friendship, but instead of accepting friendship, he spat at her and ignored her!

No, his only fault was being a brat and not accepting the fact that Squirrelflight at least cared about him and wanted friendship with him, but not anything more. I justΒ  don't like Ashfur. He overreacted when Squirrelflight did nothing to him.

Also, it's not wrong over my opinion. I can call him a worst villain if I want to. You have your opinion; I'll have mine. That is that. He is the worst villain in my own eyes.

Honestly? Erin Hunter needed a bad guy. That's the only reason it got as bad as it did.

But she did leave him? Said so in the books. She took him simply to make Brambleclaw { at the time } jealous. And as soon as he showed interest again, Ashfur was shoved off. I honestly doubt she tried to be his friend afterwards. She was consumed with Brambleclaw and her kits, was she not?

Anyway.

You'd rather not bring fact into this because you want someone to hate? :/

The worst villain. Alright. Ashfur took ONE of Firestars lives. Okay, he's not a good guy, but he's certainly not the worst. Tigerstar killed many, and Brokenstar forced kits into becoming apprentices. And he killed how many trained warriors? Effected the lives of how many? Nearly destroyed his own clan?

Β And Ashfur attempted to hurt a few. Yes, your opinion is your opinion. But it doesn't change the fact that it's wrong.

You can hate Ashfur, but you could try to understand his side. { As you said, a book from his POV would be nice. Who knows, something else may have triggered it. So many fan-based-battled could be avoided if we just had the option to see it from his eyes. } I'll stop now, because you're obviously set in your ways, as are 80% of all fans of characters in books. But he got into Starclan because his intentions, at least at the start, were to live a happy life with her. She lied to him. He had the right to be angry.

But, I'll leave this to you. I have rps to attend to.

//i'd also be happy to do an rp with you, if you are up for it! No hard feelings? Β

It has been confirmed that Squirrelflight was not using Ashfur. And if she did, then why would she feel guilty for hurting him, even if she never meant to do so?

She never left him. She told him she wanted him as a friend and nothing more. They were only friends, not mates or dating.

It does change the fact that you said it was wrong and it's very offending to me. I hate it when people say my opinion is wrong. There is no such thing as right or wrong opinions. We all think differently.

Rather not RP, but no hard feelings, I guess.
