Thanks so much, and its not talent, I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and I do it all the time. Not so much talent, but experience and devotion c:

I've been drawing a long time as well, and I'm not nearly as good..
I draw constantly, and still can't find that I'm any good :/

I look at a lot of references and watch a whole lot of speedpaints, Drawing and studying drawing is pretty much all I do in my free time
And yes you are really good, how long have you been doing digital art?

haha same, I found myself getting used to the tablet fairly quickly but mine were terrible too, I started digital art around uh, September think, maybe a bit earlier. But yeah, I found studying helped a WHOLE lot and has helped me achieve what I have. Sometimes you don't even realise that you're studying coz its actually quite enjoyable watching others draw in speedpaints and such.

To be honest I can't find the patience for speed paints, they make my head whirl. I find that I pick up little things here and there the more time I spend on DA, my anatomy has improved immensely since I started, but could still use some work here and there. I'm trying to bring a more realistic approach, but it's hard :/ I'm going to study wolves some more and see if I can't fix up some of my..issues..?

haha yeah, sometimes speedpaints can be tedious, sometimes I skip to certain parts that I need to study, like shading for example. But if you can sit there and watch them they are a great help. I actually found a great wolf anatomy picture that was probably the thing that founded my studying desire [link]
If you turn it into basic shapes you can draw pretty much any pose you want with the right anatomy.

Whoa, that's a great picture. I'm going to use it to study ^^ I also find it helps to just draw, constantly. You slowly get better by learning from your own mistakes, but to make a big impact, you do have to study. I just have an awful patience x)

haha I thought I did too, but it turns out I have patience with the things I love. And yeah, it is a great picture to learn from. Also, I draw constantly too, which I find to be the most enjoyable, but I always have references for poses, you can even combine references (example, draw the head from one ref then the body from another ref)

Ah yes, I've done that before, it's proved quite helpful! It's sad though when I want to reference a specific pose but I can't find one that fits what I was looking for :/
Another thing that seems to help me is just to doodle unrealistic poses (like a wolf dancing, etc), it actually helps with anatomy, which is strange, eh?
