The bg is not mine!I don't exactly know where it is from, but has it as their journal CSS and this is, well...
This is my entry for 's journal header contest.
*tries to keep smiling*I'M SO TIRED! Seriously, today I drew SIX hours this in one sitting. Three hours: SCALES. Yes, I drew every single damned scale by hand. No, I don't have any scaly brushes or anything. I guess my ancient Photoshop couldn't hanlde them. When talking about my photoshop, to remind you, it is Photoshop Elements 3.0. And according to that, I'm very positively suprised that I can end up something like this with my PS.
And even though this drawing is the one I've spent most time on, I enjoyed every moment. It was so fun. I didn't lost my nerves (if that doesn't count that our computer went mad and refused to work properly which is why this is almost late 
) nor my patience. Wanna know how long I worked on this? Well then. 13 hours. And that's one hell of a long time for me to spend on one drawing. x___x *is happily dead*And little bit about the picture. I'M SO DAMN PROUD OF THIS! I seriously love it, I think it's the best thing I have been able to do for a long time.
The dragon here is some kind of combination of dragon beings. There are different characteristics from different dragons put together and I tried to include some other things in this dragon too. Such things and wisdom, balance, magic, mystery and elegance. I think I did quite well.
Don't know about you. But I really hope you all like it, because I love it. (So rare that I say I love a picture that I've drawn.

No osaa olla hyvännäköinen. D: Yksinkertaisesti upeaa työtä koko kuvan kanssa, lohikäärme näyttää upealta, ja suomujen kanssa tehty tuo on todella näyttävää. Todella hienoa työtä varjojen ja valojen kanssa, ou jes. Ainoa tässä on että pää on hieman pienempi kuin pitäisi, ja siivet paistavat "yksityiskohdattomuudellaan", jos vertaa kaikkeen muuhun mitä loharissa on. Mutta, hienoa työtä se on, todellakin.

Minä en sitten osaa ikinä tehdä oikean kokoisia päitä. u___û Pitää alkaa kiinnittämään siihenkin enemmän huomiota. Noiden siipien koruttomuudesta onkin tullut sanomista, mutta en vain millään keksinyt niihin mitään, mikä saisi ne näyttämään hyviltä ja yksityiskohtaisilta. Yritin monesti, mutta ei onnistunut. =__=

Tää on ihan törkeen hieno, rakastan ton lohikäärmeen ruumista ja siitä minkälaisessa asennossa se on. Upea ja hienostunut pää, ja väri sointuu ihanasti laajaan ja universaaliin taustaan. Ihan todella kaunista jälkeä, uskomaton työ varmaan tässäkin, ainakin siltä näyttää!

And congrats for not losing patience on scales. I`m sure I would. (Although I would just make some some scale brush. The moment I learned how to make brushes I started to make them for details that repeats in picture to save time.)

Creating own brushes would surely help, but also like doing it this way. The scales with nicely when they're drawn one by one and it's fun, too. At least I thought it was.

It`s fun when I draw scales traditionally with pencils, but it`gets annoying with a mouse, especially when my lines gets not straight, and I have to click "undo" button all the time.

Details are nice when drawn by hand, both traditionally and digitally (tablet) but by mouse *shiver* <.< I tried once and it wasn't that nice. u__u

Thanks! I also hope to get one soon, although I don`t have much hopes about that. Most likely I`ll have to draw with a mouse for long.
But still, I`d like to believe that I`ll get a tablet someday, so I`m curious what tablet you have and are you satisfied with it? Although I guess you must be, I`m the only one who`s not satisfied with my mouse.

I never remeber what's it's name, I always have to check it. XD It's Aiptek Hyper Pen 8000U Pro. Too complicated name... But I'm very satisfied with it.

That name sounds awful for memorizing. Sometimes I also can`t memorize names of some of my technique, for example my printer. I always forget it` s name.
I have been thinking about wacom intuos tablet (small size of course, large one is too expensive).
I have never seen any tablets in Latvian shops, but at least I have seen wacom tablets in some Latvian internet shops. Google didn`t gave me any results for this Aiptek tablet that would be in Latvian. Seems like my choice is quite limited, because I can pay for something only in net cash.

Well, at least you have some quality tablets you are able to buy somewhere nearby your place. I don't wonder that Aiptek is and unknown brand in Latvia, I hadn't heard a single word of it before I got it. :'3

That`s true, technique names are necessary to know very rarely.
I`m also too poor to buy a tablet for now, but I hope to earn some money with commissions when I will be good enough to start doing them. But I still need lots of practice until that.
Here we have got in shops only what`s necessary for many people, and tablets definitely isn`t one of these products. Only few artists need them.

I have high requirements for myself, and I still haven`t accomplished them. I`ll just wait until I get better and keep practicing.
Mostly these reasons are finance problems. Everything else can be solved somehow.

Nojoo, tuo taitaakin kertoa kaiken ku näin tämän pienenä kuvana, jolloin luulin että tämän oli tehnyt joku toinen henkilö, ja hyvänen aika kun sain jonkun kohtauksen ku näin että sä olit tehnyt tämän! ...miksikö? Koska se on UPEA ja siitä näkyy kuinka paljon sä olet kehittynyt! *rakastaa kuvaa*<3 Ja olet kyllä syystä ylpeä tästä. Voi hyvänen aika Shinon, ei saa lyödä ihmisiä silmille tälläisillä upeilla taideteoksilla!

No kyllä mulla käsi kramppaskin oikein kunnolla. XD Pidin pientä taukoa siinä tauottomassa suomujen mättämisessä ja käsi oikeasti tuntui siltä, että se olisi vähintääkin kykenevä enää tekemään pelkkiä suomuja tai jopa kokonaan kuollut. XDD
