I took up this challenge on Tumblr and finally managed to finish it! [link]These are all really quick watercolour paintings because I felt like doing this traditionally. It killed some of my watercolour pads but it's okay, it was a lot of fun painting these!
I posted each of these individually on my Tumblr (I also post some art I don't post anywhere else there) and added some extra info + explanations which I'm not going to include here.
These are not in exactly numerical order because I had to make some solutions to make everything fit nicely but I tried to maintain the order as well as possible.
There is one picture missing and it's my favourite dark type. I already posted it on dA so I didn't feel like including it here.

I have difficulties choosing my favourites and my top six keeps changing from time to time. But it's okay. Minimum of 20 would be better.
Also, after drawing certain Pokemon I grow to like their designs more. Maybe I prefer them in my style but maybe I also learn something about the design that isn't possible to grasp as it is (like, the concept etc.)

Is that the Alakazam from the giant pokemon in the ruins near Pallet Town?

It's not from the episode but it was inspired by the giant ancient Alakazam. For some reason I can see Alakazam and Kadabra having some tribal tattoos or whatnot.Β

Well, the dex etnry says Metagross has a mouth underneath it's body. I tried to draw that but the way it came out makes it look like something else.
