I really like Kyurem, I like it's typing, I like it's design even though the sprites are a little derpy and I like it's story. Even though we don't know much of it - yet. I hope the upcoming new Pokemon games will explain it more. I also feel pretty bad for Kyurem, I see him as kind of a miserable Pokemon. I don't care if he's claimed to eat Pokemon and people.I drew this picture because I like Kyurem, because I haven't done any cell-shaded picture in a while and I just wanted to draw something good - rather to prove myself that I don't suck than to show off. I've been feeling dissatisfied about my art lately - nothing new, it happens every now and then - mainly because there are so many artists who are better than me but also because I feel that I haven't improved much lately. In fact, looking back at my older works I think some of them are so much better than what I've done since.
I'm not having an art block but lack of motivation. It'll go away...hopefully soon? I'll try to work harder and see if it helps (if I can gather enough motivation to actually start something). I think I'll redo one of my oldest pieces in my gallery.
Oh, and did I mention I learned something when I drew this? Well, I did. I learned that I hate drawing ice.
Anyway, sorry for the rant, I hope you like the picture!

Personally, I see him as sort of a 'Harbinger of Death' sort of character, even more so than Yveltal. He represents absence, nothingness, and until he is made Whole that is exactly what he will bring. You can read a lot into him, more so than any other Pokemon I think, because there's clearly an overarching mythology to his origins, but it is only peripherally explained.Β

And that title just made me realize something.
Kyurem is very powerful, but "incomplete".
According to legend, it eats people.
By absorbing Reshiram and Zekrom, it obtains even more power, and changes its form, becoming more and more "complete".
And the item used to fuse it is called the DNA Splicer.
Kyurem is the Pokeverse's version of Cell!

Now that we've seen what Kyurem looks like fused with Zekrom and Reshiram seperately, I wonder if we'll see what he looks like when fused with both.

I would really like to see that. Or even better, the original dragon that was the origin of all three dragons. I was actually looking forward to that more than anything else, and I was rather disappointed that they didn't show the original dragon.

I think either a 3rd Black and White game will come out, or they'll have something you download over Wi-Fi that makes it where the DNA splicer fuses all 3.

I hope they won't make a third one. Two is enough, especially when the story's end was a bit meh. I wouldn't care if the original dragon was an actually obtainable Pokemon, I just want to see the concept.

Or maybe he'd like it. ^_^! He's just as amazing as the other legendaries. Maybe he does that because other people just want to try to catch him because of his power. Perhaps he's just not been shown that there are kind people out there.
