Description
EDIT: Made his hair move and changed icon with "animation text so people would be more interested
.EDIT: made a helpful point on alternating the arms. I made that quick change and it looks so much more natural.
An animation I put together testing whether I've still got it. I'm proud of this piece.
P.S. This is a sneak peek of an Animation in progress. Keep that in mind.

but seriously i agree with what boozerman said and in my opininion the raindrops should be falling from the right
props for adding a little touch to the quills but you should always think of from what direction that wind is coming from

To be honest that's quite a poor walk cycle.
A good walk cycle is one where it can loop without being identified as just one animated segment looped over and over.
Here the legs are just moving back and forth and shows no actual 'stepping' going on.
Meanwhile both the arms and legs have no appropriate pacing and just tween from one point to another then back again, not to mention no bending of the elbows or knees.
Also having only the tips of Sonics quills moving slightly just looks off and makes the rest of him look stiff as a board.
When animating you have to think about how people walk and analyze their motions as no-one walks straight movement-wise and interpret these into Sonics walk with such secondary actions as the head bobbing up and down, moving quills etc.

I'd like to add something...
Try to add a layer of rain drops landing on sonic's head. Making his head a symbol might make it easier to allow this.
Also, make the backdrop move. I know that it's realy far away, but it seems too static.
And just as a suggestion, you could have Sonic occasionally partially open his eyes, to add more realism.
