I'm not a fan of pink, but I have to admit I love the colouration for this bloke. Creative use of clashing colours! Nice pose, too.
I think part of the reason why I like this is because it reminds me of a type of moth: [link] I stroked one of them before; must have been too busy contemplating the cosmos cos it didn't fly away, heh!

Wow, what a beautiful moth! Do you know what kind it is? I hate to go off on a tangent but I like bugs, and that's a cool fellow. Heh, in my experience moths aren't as "flighty" as butterflies. I had a rather nice population of Tropical Checkered-Skippers on my property (back when we had a bit of forestation; it was cut down about 2 years ago to build a school) and they would just land on you, and chill. They're very pretty, they look like this: [link]

Not quite as handsome as the one you posted, but they were fun critters to have around.

It is the rosy maple moth: [link]
Not a problem-- in fact, thank you for sharing. Heh, I love bugs, too; moths are amongst my top two favourite kinds. Ooh! Quite elegant, but aye, not quite as striking as the other moth.

What's your other favorite, then? (: Moths are at the top of my list. I've kept cicadas and roaches, both of which are neat bugs. I know it sounds a little cruel, but as cool as the roaches were, it was difficult to get over their aesthetic unpleasantness. xD The cicadas were a lot more energetic and interesting to watch, too... Though unfortunately they don't live long, considering they don't eat or anything.

Spiders-- and if I had to decide on a third, it'd either be mantises or cicadas. Oh, you've had pet cicadas? Heh, sounds fantastic! Short life expectancy is unfortunate, though. I'd love to have a pet tarantula.

Oh, yes, tarantulas! A friend of my mother's had one- that is to say, her husband did. The spider got loose a lot, which freaked her out. She made him get rid of it. I'm not quite sure how a tarantula would scape a terrarium without owner error though- so doubtlessly it was her husband's fault.

Mantises are amazing little animals. We have them in our yard still sometimes. Very interesting to watch. They move in an odd way, kind of like little martial artists, haha.
