Description Captain Hook (aka James) as seen in The Pirate Fairy.  This is my favorite of my Hook sketches

Now THAT is a young James Hook! The nose is properly hawk-like, the hair looks curly and ready to bust free of that ponytail, and his shirt is frilly and fancy. I'm not sure if something was lost in the translation from 2D to CG, but the young James just wasn't Captain Hook.

I think it was the transition to CG. I said on one of my other posts that I loved this movie, but I think that it (and the whole Tinkerbell series) would have been a lot better if it had been done in traditional animation. I was scouring the web for any sketches that Disney had released, and I was looking at the books (which are hand drawn), and they look so much better than the CG version.

I'm glad that you like it

Valid point. The CG is ok for what it is, but it doesn't have the same weight as hand-drawn animation. Take Hook's hair, for example. Here, it feels like real hair. It looks heavy, and thick, and curly. In the movie, it looked like sculpted plastic, and kinda greasy.
