The second of my Sin City women, Miho the silent assassin.Not sure if I'm totally happy with this one, I can't get a good enough Miho reference to go by so... yeah. Maybe when the movie comes out here I can.

Every time I see her in the movie, I keep on wondering... does a swastika hold anymore meaning than inescapable death?

'Svastika' in Sanskrit means any lucky or auspicious object. Buddha's footprint had swastikas on the end part of his toes as well.
When no points are facing upwards and the swastika looks like this 卐, the swastika is the Hindu sign of luck and life (I think).

yah the hatching on her face looks weird....i've never been a big fan of that..but it looks great!! i keep looking forward to all ur sin city drawings!!

Yeah, the face hatching/shading is exactly what pisses me off about this one... but unfortunatley I don't pencil the hatches so if I fuck em up it's permanent.
But unless I learn to colour, there is no other way to shade with just black. Oh well.

true.....i'd say u could use pencil to shade but that wouldn't look right...

I did a couple where I tried to use white and grey pencils on black paper, but they didn't turn out the best, I need more practice... Next up will be Jackie Boy, Kevin and Yellow Bastard (Bad Guy time), I might try to colour Yellow, but we'll see.

I think it's terrific. It's kind of hard to do Sin City fanart, because the temptation is so prevalent to draw just like Frank Miller, which you haven't done. You kind of capture the heavy contrast and chiaroscuro without compromising your own art style.
I think the use of hatching on the face is kind of wierd--it works, but I kind of wonder what it would look like if it were done with zipatone or something? Considering how hard it is to find that stuff, though...But, good job all 'round.
