K'Nex made these Mario kart toys a while back, and despite that I'm not really a big fan of their toys (most of you probably know which building toy company I'm a fan of), I went and got a few of them, mostly the buildable karts and motorbikes. They recently put out a wave of random-packaged mini figures (a lot like Lego has done), and I got three of them. I got a duplicate Mario figure and didn't know what to do with him... at least until I saw a video where someone said you can buy a lot of these and make your own customs, like Fire Mario and Fire Luigi, for example.

I decided to go with one of my favorites, Metal Mario. I'm not the first person to make this, nor am I the best. Another one I saw, the person painted him completely silver and he actually SHINES. Mine, I painted him and I kept the "M" on his cap, since that's how the latest versions of him appear. If you look carefull, you can almost see the details of the overalls from the original figure, which was sort of what I tried to do but failed. I think he looks okay like this for the most part.
