It's ~spoopy season~, so I taught myself how to render subsurface scattering lighting effects for the sole purpose of producing low-key body horror. But, that's the deal with Blight Angels, they don't truly 'heal' their people, they just transfer the injury from that person to themselves, but, they're immortal, so it doesn't matter. Thing is, along with the whole deal with the wings manifesting, when a Blight Angel gets that pull to 'heal' one of their people, their eyes, and all of the previous injuries they've collected start glowing...

...and when you're a pediatric cardiac surgeon who's spent almost the last two years unknowingly transferring the incisions you've been making during procedures to yourself (and, I did the research, that's 150-250 procedures a year), your heart's gonna glow like a freaking furnace, innit?

Middle of the night and you were sound asleep? Doesn't matter - on the 'job', now. One of 'your people' needs healing, and whoever hurt one of 'your people' is getting extremely the opposite of that. He won't even remember doing any of it.
