This one has kinda a long story.

Basically, this picture has been sitting around on my computer forever. I decided to finally work on it. I had fun with the textures. All manner of textures.

Basically in my world, it couldn't possibly be as simple as 'the fey have an intricate relationship with plants'. So.. they are plants. And they have weird, WEIRD methods of reproduction that I don't want to go into here.

But yeah, the fey are a depressing race. For some reason, they are going extinct. No-one is really sure why. When a Fay gets old, they eventually return to the earth. This is a choice they make, since they are very magical creatures, and are hard to kill by normal means. (though it's pretty accepted that fire kills them) This makes the Fey sad, since they're worried that without them, the plants won't survive much longer.
