Description
~Everybody wants to be a cat,
because a cat's the only cat
who knows where it's at.
Everybody's pickin' up on that feline beat,
'cause everything else is obsolete.~

You smiled as you watched Heracles play with a group of kittens amongst his tons of cats.

“It must be nice to be a cat. They have heightened senses, they don’t get lost. They’re super cute and they’re just wonderful” Heracles smiled as a tiny kitten nuzzled against your leg affectionately. You sat down and the kittens immediately climbed all over you.

“I love cats too. They’re sweet” you giggled as the kittens all purred. One tried to nibble on your hair, mistaking it for string or yarn.

“No, no, (y/n)’s hair is not a toy” Heracles gently took the kitten and stroked it’s orange fur.

“Nap time kitties” you and Heracles began collecting the kittens and placed them in a little circular bed as they curled up together next to one another and began to sleep.

~Now a square with a horn,
can make you wish you weren't born,
ever'time he plays;
and with a square in the act,
he can set music back
to the caveman days.~

Loud, terrible music began to play, and you and heracles covered your ears. Luckily, the kittens were too tired and exhausted from playing to wake up.

“That bastard…” Heracles marched out of his house and you followed after him.

Heracles approached the house the music was coming from and banged on the door.

“Hey, oh it’s you. What do you want olive-breathe?” Turkey asked

“Turn down your terrible music. I have little ones trying to sleep!” Heracles demanded

“You and (y/n) had kids!? With a body like that, I couldn’t blame you” Turkey winked at you as Heracles scowled and roughly smacked him.

“No, you idiot. Kittens!” Greece yelled

“Thank god. Hey (y/n), why don’t you ditch the crazy cat lady here and come inside and enjoy my party? There’s alcohol and food” Turkey grinned

“Only if you turn your music down” you batted your eyelashes as Heracles gasped at you. Turkey dashed inside and the music grew quiet.

“There. Now we can party” Just as Turkey returned, you roughly punched him in the stomach.

“Sorry. I rather spend my time with a guy like Heracles, not you” you hissed as you and Heracles returned to his house.

~I've heard some corny birds who tried to sing,
but a cat's the only cat
who knows how to swing.
Who wants to dig
a long-haired gig
or stuff like that?~

“I’m glad you didn’t go to his party” Heracles smiled

“I’m not a fan of parties like that. I rather see cute little kittens, then get drunk and have Sadiq sexually harass me” you giggled

“I have the cutest kittens in the world” Heracles grinned proudly as you both entered the room where the kittens where. A few of them woke up from their nap while the others still slept.

“You guys are so adorable” you cooed as you held a small white kitten. It leaned up and licked your nose as you giggled and held it.

“They really like you. They must think you’re their mother” Heracles chuckled as another kitten played with Heracles’ shoe string.

“It must be fun to be a cat” you smiled as the kittens mewed and stumbled along while trying to walk.

“I love cats and it must be fun to be one, but for now…” Heracles trailed off and looked at you. You blinked a bit until Heracles leaned in and softly kissed you. He pulled you closer and kissed you more passionately as you closed your eyes and savored the feeling of his lips against yours.

“I’d rather be a human if it means I get to kiss you” he murmured

“I love you (y/n)” Heracles smiled as he leaned back and propped himself up. You smiled back and laid your head against his chest and listened to his heartbeat.

“I love you too Heracles” you muttered as you fell asleep in your lovers arms. The kittens resumed sleeping by curling up on your stomach and near your feet as you and Heracles napped together.
