“I brush my teeth so that won’t be a problem” he objected as he swallowed a bite

“I still suspect Light Yagami of being kira” L shook his head

“I believe you. You just need the evidence to prove your point” you chuckled and sat next to him.

“I feel bad…” L said out of the blue

“Why?” you asked

“I’m eating the cake and your watching me” L promptly placed the cake in front of you and handed you a fork

“You don’t need to feel bad for me” you giggled and gave it back.

“Do I need to order you to eat the cake?” L asked

“No” you pouted

“You’re my assistant, so assist me by eating the cake” L smirked

“Fine, you win” you rolled your eyes and ate a bite. It was smooth and tasted of strawberries.

“This is actually pretty good” you nodded and continued eating it

“Did you like it?” L asked before you had time to nod, L gently grabbed your arm and yanked you into him as your lips met his. He gently slid his tongue into your mouth as you felt him exploring.

“W-what was that for?” you asked with a heavy blush

“I wanted to see if it tasted as good as you said it was. Plus I happen to like you” L shyly turned his head to hide his faint blush.

You smiled and leaned your head on his shoulder.

“I like you too Ryuzaki” you murmured

“Then assist me by not leaving and keeping me company. And kiss me again” L muttered more than asked as you giggled and kissed him again.

“We’ll catch Kira. One way or another” L curtly glanced back at the screens as he wrapped an arm around you.

“You are not to tell a soul about being in a relationship with me. I want to keep you safe and protected so no one targets you” L added

“If you insist” you smiled as L gently kissed your head.
