very much still a WIP, not quite happy with his facial feather markings yet but then I just started painting last night so still pretty rough. I realised when I started painting his face I didn't get his facial features quite as symetrical as I thought I had, but I'm gonna chalk that up to the unique character of the bird esspecially since he is suppose to be really old and rather quirky. I figure it will all come together as I get the painting right.

Errol is going to be a great grey owl, I hope to paint in feathers in a way to make him look scruffy and older as I continue to paint him so he matches with the description of Errol in the HP books wich I believe describe him at one point as "a mop of feathers"

for those who don't know, Errol was the Weasley's family owl, who was always running into windows getting lost. As you can see from the bottom photo he matches in size with Hedwig
