just something i doodled up and messed with in photoshop.poem i wrote sort of goes with it:
What are these wings to one who flies?
A shadow's breathe?
A gentle lie?
I cannot take those words untold
And put them in each feather fold
I will not hide the teeth I bear
For treacherous hearts
Who my wings would rip and tear
What wings are these?
That flicker so
Lifeless as the
Sound of snow
What worth is it that these wings hold?
When stillness takes the
Body and freedom takes the soul
What eyes could say?
What tongue has told?
The worth of these dark wings
In pounds of gold
These wings that sing
These wings that cry
These wings that evade all mortal eye
These wings can’t touch
These wings can’t sigh
These cursed wings that
Can never reach the sky
What wings are these?
I do not know
But claim them I must,
This must be so
A demon’s wings some may say
Or perhaps within and angel’s ray
But hope or fate or destiny
To me these wings have
Bequeathed
And under them I will remain
Whatever winds bring
These wings they
Shall Sustain.

well back when I created the species someone suggested I call it a Drolphon as it is a mixture/hybrid of a dragon, wolf, and gryphon and that has kinda stuck since then as far as a species name I call it that or "you know that winged wolf creature I draw all the time" lol. As far as this individual creatures name am not sure I thought about it, my main character I usally draw from this species is named Reamskee thats probably who I meant it to be when I sketched it out, her actual coloration however is not irridecent like that its black fur with green eyes... so perhaps this is a new character emerging *shrugs* or maybe this is what she looks like on a asral/spiritual dimension
