Shadow isn't one for killing anyone and has been quite successful in completing her missions with the least amount of casualties, however, the last time she meets her family, she knows theres just one way to stop them, however, they leave her in a bad state, and can't get away, and decides to blow the whole thing, including her mother and her inside.

Spray: ... Okay. Normally I try to avoid killing as well, but sometimes it's necessary. But to harm one's own child in such a manner? That is just going way too far, even for me! If I had been there, I would so have killed Shadow's abusive family and gotten her the help she needed! No doubt about it!
