Description These beauties belong to a friend. It was a request and I had hoped this would turn out better. There are some things I like about it, but ugh. I guess since it's my first time drawing these beasts Ill try and be more lenient on myself. DX

OSCAAAARS <3 God, we sell so many of these! (And I've turned down even more sales because people are stupid!) Love this so much.

Where do you work now? Yeah/ I was going to apply at a Pet'smart just because I educate more people about the fish they are looking at than the damn employees know. Ugh... hate it when people try to cram 10 goldfish into one gallon of water! but I digress... lol. Yeah These guys have crazy/ awesome personalities. My friend's (shown here) actually grew up to have a mad man personality. If his water level is lowered even a small amount he throws a tantrum.

I'm actually the manager of the pet care department in my store so I deal with those kind of people alllll the time. I would say that the employees in my store are pretty well educated when it comes to most of the department. It's just hard when customers expect you know 100% of everything about fish, reptiles, small animals and cat/dogs. I had to actually do research myself at home to figure out half the stuff people ask!

We just get a lot of people(its the community that lives near my store) who want violent fish and don't understand that the itty-bitty oscar is going to be getting a lot bigger than the 2 inches it is now.

I think my favorite is the goldfish in a bowl. people wonder why they don't make it more than a few days too...I actually refused selling a rosy red minnow once because the girl thought she was saving it by puttin it in a half gallon bowl that wasn't set up yet. She wasn't happy at all, for sure.

Yeah I do tons of research and it
s sad what typically Pet'smart and the like tell their employees.

Yeah they always want to put dangerous fish in a community tank and won't listen when you advise against it... but then again I hate it when people have them only because they like feeding poor little goldies to them... Goldfish will always have a place in my heart. In fact my most beautiful one is a comet named Cicero; I've had him three year and he's a feeder that I paid 13cents for. He's almost three now.

LOL my god you should see how big my rosey minnow is! It's at least three inches long. My mom mistook it for a baby goldfish and got onto my for buying another fish. I'm like no I've had that beast for two years! lol

Oh I know, I'm not a huge fan of selling hundreds of live fish to feed other fish but I kinda look at it as they were meant to be eaten. I am a HUGE fan of promoting fish food that is made with little fish and even more of a fan of the ones that use what they call "Happy fish" where they aren't just thousands in a tank. :3

I dread that now it is Koi season and the hundreds of people who want the "big goldfish" for their 10 gallon tank are starting to appear... Lord help me ;~;
