On Thursday the 23rd of January, just a week ago, Justin Carmical committed suicide. I never met Justin, I never had the pleasure. Hell, before this week I never even watched that many of his episodes but I knew what a good person he was. I’ve seen crossovers other Channel Awesome producers did with him, I watch the movies like Kickassia and Suburban Knights all the time and in every single one of them and his own episodes it’s obvious to everyone he was a very energetic, caring, gentle soul and since his passing there have been several posts from his friends at Channel Awesome as well as other friends who knew him; Doug and Rob Walker, Joe Vargas and Gaijin Goomba to name a couple and all of them say how he was nothing less then an absolute pleasure to be around, very kind, very compassionate, very interested in whatever you had to say. As overdone as this may sound, to hear this in the wake of a death, honestly the world desperately needs more people like Justin and to hear about him tragically taking his own life…God, I can not imagine how his friends and family are coping right now.

I don’t even feel like I have any right to talk about this, since I never even met him but as a man I have so much respect for, not just because of his videos but just for being such a wonderful human being, being so caring and trying to enjoy life as much as possible, his videos themselves say everything about him; Unlike other reviewers like Spoony or Nostalgia Critic (who I also love) JewWario had videos that actually taught us how to play games that we normally couldn’t unless we could speak or read Japanese. He chose to make his reviews more then entertaining, more then funny, he chose to educate people so they could find new games to enjoy. I think that sums him up perfectly. So, despite me never getting to meet him, I felt I had to do something, however small.

I have now watched a good majority of his videos and can say they are definitely worth watching so if you haven’t already please check out YouCanPlayThis here; youcanplaythis.com/
And also please watch Doug Walker’s tribute to Justin here; thatguywiththeglasses.com/vide…

And just for me, if you could also please watch this last video, it’s a clip from Justin’s last LiveStream, the clip is included in Doug’s tribute but it’s here on it’s own, this clip hit me very hard, due to what happened with me last year and I encourage everyone to at least watch it once; www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tN60y…

There is also an option to donate to Justin’s Family if you wish, the link is here; www.gofundme.com/6groao Even though the drive is over I believe you can still donate.

That’s about all there is I can say. Justin was rare type of person and clearly loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Goodbye, Justin.
