This scene finally happened.
I really wanted to draw a "scary" Rena, so I was really looking forward to this scene.

Personally, out of all of the "LIAR!" scenes, I think the Alchemist portraits (PSP version, I think?) in the most unsettling. Which is why I took the most inspiration form it.
The original VN protraits look too adorable to be scary, the Steam version's sprites are good, but not quite as effective, the two Anime adaptations work better in motion, and the manga version makes me laugh. Sure, it looks monstrous, but... that's the reason why I don't find it nearly as unsettling. It's a good shock when you see it for the first time, because you don't excpect it, but looking at it longer makes it lose all of its effect (for me, anyway).
