She falls to the floor, with tears falling from her eyes
Her scars are invisible but they're open wide.
For everyone to see, it's obviously going painfully.
And I'm not sure what to say, 'cause I've never been able to come through…

But I promise you this, in a moment such as this;
That when the fog clears, and the scars begin to fade,
I'll be waiting at the end, 'cause you're a someone no one should miss.
When the tears begin to dry, I hope to see the shine in your eyes

I've run away just like you, scared for all the reasons the world could bare
Fractured under the weight of a thousand suns, I gave in without a bloody care.
While the tears ran down my face, and my scars began to bleed
I knew someone else was in need, for the aid I didn't have.

So I promise you this, in a society as torn as this
That when the world beats you down, and your scars open again
I will be there to help you through, 'cause you're someone no one should miss
When the scars begin to fade, I hope a smile is what I have made.

You're not alone, I am here with you; I'll try as much as this.
The world doesn't seem to get who we are, nor leave us alone
But when the scars of ours forever fade, and the tears no longer show we live in fear
I can honestly say that the end is near, so hold on because I am right here.
