Okay, so, seriously, don't get angry about spoilers. If you haven't finished Deathly Hallows yet, then you SHOULDN'T BE ON DEVIANTART. Especially on Deviantart looking at Harry Potter art. You crazy little things you.
So here's a colored version of my sketch...Snape Dying. Oh, how emo I am about this, perhaps I should write some danky poetry and stop washing my hair...just like Snape...

Do you really consider it a retribution when a skilled double agent who only ever killed one man, as a mercy killing ordered by that very men, is killed in a most gruesome way? Snape hadn't returned to Voldemort even at that point. He was still playing his role. Why did he beg of Voldemort to go looking for the boy himself? So that he could protect him, maybe even revealing his role to him. He only mean to Harry and the Gryffindors because Harry was the child of his rival and was in the same house as him. Snape is a tragic character, not a villain. It becomes apparent only after his death, but he was just heartbroken that the one who brought greatest shame on him when he was young married his first love, whom he kept loving in secrecy until his dying day.
