Description

Recently started learning about the goblincore aesthetic. I think it sounds pretty rad, and it aligns fairly well with my personality and interests, so I did a quick doodle of myself working on one of my bonsai as a chibi goblin~

I also recently got my first set of alcohol art markers, and decided that this would be a good way to test them out. Seems to be a steep learning curve to using alcohol markers, gonna have to practice a lot to get the hang of it.

Media: Ohuhu brush markers, Sakura Pigma Micron liners, and Sakura Gelly Roll in a Crescent Rendr mixed media sketchbook. Ohuhu markers seem to be decent, but they're very juicy (some of them spattered every time I opened the cap, as you can see in the background), which made working with the darker/more opaque shades very difficult. If I end up liking alcohol markers, I'll very likely gradually replace my Ohuhus with Copic Sketch markers as the colours I use most run out of ink. I highly recommend the Crescent Rendr mixed media sketchbook for marker users, though! The ink doesn't bleed or feather or smudge, and it doesn't even show through on the back of the paper at all, not even when you do several layers of black ink. You can colour on both sides of the page, I'm pretty impressed.
