i dont think he sees a bad part of toothless, at first he is angry, but I think hiccup has come to understand that now that toothless was not to blame, it was not toothless controlling his actions. I think It hs not affected their relationship but actually made it stronger.
He saw that Toothless worked hard to overcome the control he was under, you can tell how angry Toothless is in the encased in ice scene, the rage at what he was made to do was evident.
I do however think that Toothless is actually distraught at what he did, as he actually did like Stoick lots.

And I'll be the devil's advocate here and say that Hiccup probably does see Toothless as a foe. Not an ENEMY, but I mean... how could Hiccup look Toothless in the eyes ever again and NOT see his father's dead body in them? ;-;

seems....but what if he is still wary...or has mixed feelings. he may shove Toothless away because of the fear of him harming Valka or Astrid, or any of the vikings... because Drago is still out there with his Bewilderbeast, of whom may be free from Drago's control, but Drago may regain control over him Β and strike back at Berk.
