oh, so he was a street rat before Hogwarts? lost family in a big accident and walked along unnoticed to the street people, maby tried to find work a few times (so he could get off the streets) only to be looked over or left waiting? only got discovered when he nearly broke threw unintentionally threw his ice magic and froze half a town in a cry for attention while a wizard recruiter was there? (either manny or aster I'd bet)
