Pun-tastic titles at 1:30 AM! Fun!... so yeah this is something that struck me months ago on Tumblr, when a friend of mine asked me if anyone made any Iron Chef jokes at Takeshi because of his finesse at cooking AND for being part Steel type. I haven't thought of that myself... and so I thought about it again today, but I vented it through actually drawing it this time.
This is about as confident and even badass as Takeshi will look ICly. And yeah, that's what he'll wear for cooking when he opens up his restaurant. SO NINJA-LIKE AMIRITE?
also hey I got to practice drawing food. I think they all turned out okay... you guys can tell what they are, right?

No, the perfect Pokemon character would be Lawrence III from Revelation Lugia. Why? Because Takeshi himself voices Lawrence III in the original dub.

But Takeshi IS an old fan-character of mine that enjoys cooking and happens to be great at it, so I wasn't trying to reference another character; I was just putting my character in a role that makes sense while also playing a pun off of one of his types.

Aw dude I remember Fighting Foodons! It was like Pokemon but with food monsters! They even had upgrades kinda like evolutions! xD I always thought that was a fun but silly concept!

It doesn't look like you did anything differently with the lineart than you usually do, but for some reason it's really standing out to me so I gotta commend you on it. 83 The textures and colours on the food are absolutely delightful, too--I think it looks quite delectable, actually. XD; Awesome work!

Ah, you really think so? Ha, thanks! I saw the trickiest food for me to get down was the lasagna... trying to make it look like the pasta is rippling between layers of other pasta and sauce, as well as getting that cooked cheese texture to look right. Then there was getting the fish filets to look cooked and spiced... fff, it's a good thing I had references to go by! xD;

Metal's pretty fun to shade! Even if it involves a lot of back-and-forth shading and lighting, as well as swapping between brush, eraser and blur.. hurghrhgrhgrh
