Summer's just around the corner, so I figured I'd start things off with Master Cyclonis in a bikini
I tried to make her hairstyle a little less plain, and debated for a while on whether to use her regular eyes or the 'anime' style eyes I've been doing lately.
The problem was that her regular eyes looked really weird on her when I was doodling, so in the end I decided to put sunglasses on her but keep the eyes the way they were

You rate of progress is really scary; this is a huge improvement over a few months ago. I think you should've taken up drawing a little earlier lol. Nicely done!

Thanks man! Though to be honest I spent a redonkulous amount of time on this piece, so I think it balances all out.
While at the con the past weekend I picked up an art book called VENT, which is blowing my mind; it's got 'how to' stuff from a bunch of artists, and although I haven't had a chance to look through it in much depth, it looks amazing: [link]

Looks a littel better than some of the stuff they sell at our bookstores, but I guess that's expected of an anime con, lol. Do you know of another one coming up soon? I'd like to experience at least one, lol. And I need to buy one more Gundam model, which I'm sure any con would have.

Wait, what do you mean "experience one"? 
As far as I know, there are a few cons happening this summer down here still, but none are comparable to Anime North. The only one I remember for certain that'll happen is going on in Guelph. I think there are a few others in Southern Ontario though, but don't recall where/when any others are off the top of my head.
Also, Anime North had a buttload of Gundam models. I would have picked one up for you if you'd asked lol.

This is really good! Her figure is great and the lines from her belly button up give her a nice level of realism for anime style XD I like her hair style and her eyes are really cute ^_^ As well as her expression ^_^ Cyclonis couldn't help going heavy on the eyeliner even at the beach huh? XD The gap between her legs is a tiny bit big, but I suppose thats just an anime thing. Overall, I really like this piece, very well done, you've done an amazing job ^_^

This was my first time drawing anything below the waist for a character, so I have literally no experience at when it comes to drawing down there
I'm still really bad with making clothing realistic though, but that's part of the reason I chose to have Cyclonis wear so little

The 'sand' was really a rush job; I was getting frustrated at the end in terms of doing a background lol. That's one thing I want to improve a lot on, is making realistic backgrounds and scenery

Haha! I know how you feel, backgrounds can be a bit of a pain. Don't feel like you need to rush them though. When you get like that, put it down for a while and go back when you're calmer. It works for me, even in exams! XD

I'd been working on it on and off for several weeks already, so I was more or less of a mind to submit it no matter what, and was feeling way too impatient to make a good background (if I tried to make one for this piece, it'd probably be August by the time I finished it lol)
